First steps
If you're a developer and you're new to FeedSync, the first place to look is the FeedSync tutorial.
There are versions for both RSS and Atom. After that, it's a good idea to review the latest FeedSync specification.
Sample Code
We have posted a simple FeedSync sample project on CodePlex. Look for the FeedSync Samples project.
The project demonstrates how to write code that synchronizes a local feed to a feed on the FeedSync hosted service.
We have also created JavaScript samples for
both RSS and Atom that accompany the
downloadable tutorial.
The JavaScript code included in the download demonstrates all of the basic FeedSync operations.
Microsoft Sync Framework
The Microsoft Sync Framework now supports the FeedSync 1.0 specification. Check it out!
The FeedSync hosted service
Microsoft has deployed a hosted FeedSync incubation service
to help developers build FeedSync endpoints. Developers can use the service to test
their FeedSync services and client applications. We will be providing the source code for the service, so that
developers can use this as the basis for their own service implementations.
More info on the incubation service coming soon!
